Coming off their second Colorado run in the past few months, it could easily be said that The New Mastersounds rocked the state in every way possible. The band played the Aspen Jazzfest breaking festival attendance records this year with over 10,500 tickets sold on the day of their show. The band made a few more stops in CO including The Sunset Concert Series in Telluride and The Fox Theatre in Boulder before heading to Ohio for Gratefulfest. It’s been an eventful summer touring with my brothers all over Europe and North America. It feels as if I have circled the world twice over, but to bring music to grateful fans is more than a joy and has made this summer memorable. Thanks to all of our fans that have come out and shown support to The Neville Brothers.

Looking towards the future, I’m excited to announce that I will be supporting Alicia Keys in Bermuda at The National Stadium on October 4th along with my entire band, The Aaron Neville Quintet feat. While The Brothers are nearing the final month of our summer tour they took the time to send everybody an update. Here’s what they had to say:
We wanted to take a moment to thank the entire Neville Nation for coming out thus far and showing their love and support. As we continue on this week, we round out our Pacific Northwest run with a stop in Sun Valley, ID at The River Run Ski Lodge and after a short break we’ll continue on to the West Coast with Stops in Sausalito, Coachella, Redding, Saratoga and Los Angeles. All our tour dates are listed here on our website, or be sure to check out our myspace page as well.
This Summer has had many highlights, including kicking off the festivities in the Rockies with our good friend Dr. John in early June, heading to Europe for a two week run with stops in Amsterdam and Gateshead, UK for a co bill with Allen Toussaint. Returning to the States we kept the funk in full force, while touring the east coast in august, including a closing performance at The Gathering of the Vibes Festival appearing with The Black Crowes & Phil Lesh and Friends.
Upcoming for this tour is the heart and soul of New Orleans, a special NOLA night showcase at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA, bringing together for the first time The Neville Brothers, Dr. John, and The funky METERS. Along with all our other stops, we are looking forward to bringing some soulful music and spirit to the west coast. Coming off of the success of their last US stop off in July, It is with much pleasure and anticipation that The New Mastersounds announce their encore US tour of 2008.
NMS carry on their momentum gained from their Summer Tour; highlighted by 2 sold out nights at SF’s Independent and by a headlining performance on the Field of Heaven stage in Japan at their first ever Fuji Rock appearance.

NMS will first appear in August at the Sunset Concert Series in Telluride continuing on to Fox Theater in Boulder and then opening for Widespread Panic at Jazz Aspen Snowmass. NMS will then make a trip to Ohio, closing out their visit with a performance at Gratefulfest.
